Help TALKPAC stop OBAMACARE!

Seniors will be the first to suffer from Obamacare! Then the rest of us will. I thought healthcare reform was about cutting the outrageous costs of healthcare. What will it do to stop greedy people and their lawyers - the real problem? Obamacare just makes it more expensive.

Final Showdown on ObamaCare

Campaign for LibertyIt looks like this is it.  The last stand.  Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi are hell-bent on ramming through their government takeover of health care.

Nancy Pelosi will try any trick in the book, including a “deem and pass” scheme which will allow the House to pass the bill without even voting on it.  She thinks this “no vote” will give some swing members enough cover to support “deem and pass” and by extension, the whole bill.

Our representatives need to know that a vote for Nancy Pelosi’s “deem and pass” trick play IS a vote for the whole bill.  And it’s a vote AGAINST the Constitution, which should send them packing from the Halls of Congress.

Please, call Rep. Vernon J. Ehlers at 202-225-3831 TODAY and insist that he OPPOSE “deem and pass” or any other of Nancy Pelosi’s schemes to ram through ObamaCare.

Big Government groups have been lighting up the switchboards in support of Nancy Pelosi’s scheme.  That’s why it’s so critical we push back.  If Big Government voices are the only ones getting though at crunch time, then Big Government health care is what we’ll get.

Let it not be said that we did nothing in defense of liberty.

Please call Rep. Vernon J. Ehlers at 202-225-3831 RIGHT NOW.

On a chilly day in early December 2009, over 120 students from different walks of life at Boston University came together to make a LipDub video to two of Jackson 5's famous songs: I Want You Back and ABC. As with all LipDub videos, the music video is recorded all in one take, with careful coordination between all of the students to ensure a fluid, exciting video.

And That's When He Shot Her

Garden SnakeI didn't think twice about this tiny fellow on my baby boxwood until I got this  letter:
GARDEN  SNAKES CAN BE DANGEROUS...

Snakes also  known as Garter Snakes (Thamnophissirtalis) can  be dangerous. Yes, grass snakes, not  rattlesnakes. Here's why.

A couple  in  Sweetwater, Texas, had a lot of potted plants. During a recent cold spell, the wife was bringing a lot of them indoors to protect them from a possible freeze.

It turned out that a little green garden grass snake was hidden in one of the plants. When it had warmed up, it slithered out and the wife saw it go under the sofa.

Terrified, she let out a very loud scream.

The husband (who was taking a  shower) ran out into the living room naked to see what the problem was. She told him there was a snake under the sofa.

He got down on the floor on his hands and knees to look for it.

About that time the family dog came and cold-nosed him on the behind.

He thought the snake had bitten him, so he screamed and fell over on the floor.

His wife thought he had had a heart attack, so she covered him up, told him to lie still and called an  ambulance.

The attendants rushed in, would not listen to his protests, loaded him on the stretcher, and started carrying him out.

About that time, the snake came out from under the sofa and one of the Emergency Medical Technicians saw it and dropped his end of the stretcher. That's when the husband broke his leg and why he is still in the  hospital.

The wife still had the problem of the snake in the house, so she called on a neighbor who volunteered to capture the snake.  He armed himself with a rolled-up newspaper and began poking under the couch. Soon he decided it was gone and told the woman, who sat down on the sofa in relief.

But while relaxing, her hand dangled in between the cushions, where she felt the snake wriggling around. She screamed and fainted, the snake rushed back under the sofa.

The neighbor man, seeing her lying there passed out, tried to use CPR to revive her.

The neighbor's wife, who had just returned from shopping at the grocery store, saw her husband's mouth on the woman's mouth and slammed her husband in the back of the head with a bag of canned goods, knocking him  out and cutting his scalp to a point where it needed stitches.

The noise woke the woman from her dead faint and she saw her neighbor lying on the floor with his wife bending over him, so she assumed that the snake had bitten him. She went to the kitchen and got a small  bottle of whiskey, and began pouring it down the man's throat.

By now, the police had  arrived.
Breathe here...

They saw the  unconscious man, smelled the whiskey, and assumed that a drunken fight had occurred. They  were about to arrest them all, when the women tried to explain how it all happened over a little garden snake!

The police called an ambulance, which took away the neighbor and his sobbing wife.

Now, the little snake again crawled out from under the sofa and one of the  policemen drew his gun and fired at it. He missed the snake and hit the leg of the end table. The table fell over, the lamp on it  shattered and, as the bulb broke, it started a fire in the drapes.

The other policeman tried to beat out the flames, and fell through the window into the yard on top of the family dog who, startled, jumped out and raced into the street, where an oncoming car swerved to avoid it and smashed into the parked police car.

Meanwhile, neighbors saw the burning drapes and called in the fire department. The firemen had started raising the fire ladder when they were halfway down the street. The rising ladder tore out the overhead wires, put out the  power, and disconnected the telephones in a ten-square city block area (but they did get the  house fire out).

Time passed! Both men  were discharged from the hospital, the house was repaired, the dog came home, the police acquired a new car and all was right with their world.

A while later they were watching TV and the weatherman announced a cold snap for that night. The wife asked her husband if he thought they should bring in their plants for the night.

And that's when he shot her.

The Pope and Nancy Pelosi

The Pope and PelosiThe Pope and Nancy Pelosi are on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.

The Madame Speaker and the Pope, however, have seen it all before.

To make it a little more interesting, Madame Speaker says to the Pope, "Did you know that with just one little wave of my hand I can make every Democrat in the crowd go wild?"

He doubts it, so she shows him.

Sure enough, the wave elicits rapture and cheering from every Democrat in the crowd.

Gradually, the cheering subsides.

The Pope, not wanting to be outdone by such a level of arrogance, considers what he could do...

"That was impressive, the Pope says, "But did you know that with just one little wave of my hand I can make many people in the crowd, and millions around the world, go crazy with joy?

This joy will not be a momentary display like that of your subjects, but will go deep into their hearts, and they will forever speak of this day and rejoice."

The speaker seriously doubts this, and says so. "One little wave of your hand and so many people will rejoice forever? Show me..."

So the Pope slapped her!!!

NCAA Nixes Family Ad

The ad features a father holding his young son and saying, "All I want for my son is for him to grow up knowing how to do the right thing."

The tag line: "Celebrate Family. Celebrate Life."

This Focus on the Family ad, believe it or not, has been yanked off the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) website for one simple reason: Focus on the Family supports natural marriage, believing that marriage is the union of one man and one woman.

Microsoft told Windows XP users today not to press the F1 key when prompted by a Web site, as part of its reaction to an unpatched vulnerability that hackers could exploit to hijack PCs running Internet Explorer (IE).

Users are advised to avoid pressing F1 on dialogs presented from Web pages or other Internet content.  The prompt can appear repeatedly when dismissed, nagging the user to press the F1 key.

An Update From Oklahoma

Oklahoma law passed, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol.  The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake.  Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values!   HB 1330

Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Oklahoma recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen.  They all scattered.  HB 1804.

Hope we didn't send any of them to your state.  This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake.

Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Recently we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes.  Pelosi said it was unconstitutional.   SB 1102

Guess what........ Oklahoma   did it anyway...

Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives.  Joining   Texas, Montana and Utah as the only states to do so.  More states are likely to follow:  Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Florida.  Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again.  HJR 1003

The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns.  Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles.  I'm sure that was a set back for the criminals (and Obamaites).  Liberals didn't like it --  But ...

Guess what........... Oklahoma did it anyway.

Just this month, my state has voted and passed a law that ALL driver's license exams will be printed in English, and only English, and no other language.  We have been called racist for doing this, but the fact is that ALL of our road signs are in English only.  If you want to drive in Oklahoma , you must read and write English.  Really simple.

By the way, Obama does not like any of this.

Guess what....who cares... Oklahoma is doing it anyway.
